Meet our Staff
Greetings from Stewart Lewis; Hilltop Seventh-day Adventist School; Principal/Head Teacher

On the professional level:
My experience in teaching is very diverse. I have taught all grade levels from Pre-K through 12.  Currently I hold an Idaho State Department of Education Principal endorsement, as well as Idaho State certification for teaching grades K-8, with an additional endorsement in Reading grades K-12. Additionally, I am double certified, with both teacher and Professional/Administrator NAD certifications for grades K-12.  Further, I have taught for more than 17 years now.  After taking a bit of a break, I am currently in the dissertation phase of finishing up my Ph. D. degree in Leadership and Educational Administration.

On the personal level:
I am very happily married and have two terrific adult children, as well as two awesome grandchildren, and two energetic Golden Retrievers. Serving the Lord, my family and teaching are at the core of who I am in my everyday life.

My strengths:

  • The ability to inspire students to embrace the wonderful world of learning, find joy and self-worth through scripture and educational achievement.
  • Leading my students to recognize and value their individuality and educational potential.
  • Patience….I am a very calm, understanding and patient educator, as well as person.
Additionally, I am truly excited about the plans we have for this upcoming school year here at Hilltop Seventh-day Adventist School! As a child of God, the student is the primary focus of our entire educational efforts.  Hilltop Seventh-day Adventist School offers grades 1-8, and exists for the purpose of introducing all students to a loving, caring Savior; while achieving high academic standards. We have an excellent student/teacher ratio, which allows for a strong boost in student academic achievement, and allows for each student’s individual academic needs to be met.  We would be honored to have your children join us for an awesome educational journey this school year!
In closing, my greatest professional joy comes from guiding students to develop their character through Christ, enjoy and appreciate a deeper relationship with our Savior, while in His service.
